WIG WAM Sign Japanese Deal With KING RECORDS
June 1, 2006Norwegian rockers WIG WAM — winners of the 2005 Norwegian Eurovision Song Contest — have inked a Japanese deal with King Records for the release of the band's last two albums — "Wig Wamania" (which is nearing gold in Norway two months after its release) and last year's "Hard To Be A Rock'n'Roller" (for which the band received a Norwegian platinum record). King Records will release a very exclusive edition of "Wig Wamania", featuring two never-before-released bonus tracks, "After the Nine O'Clock News" and "Flying High", that didn't make the Norwegian version of the album due to tight schedules. "Flying High" marks the first-ever studio recording with bass player Flash on lead vocals. Both albums are due for a July release, and WIG WAM is planning a Japanese tour in October.
